WHERE ARE YOU, MISS HEARTBREAK?
She left me sad and slow
in the arcade of sorrow
and every game was broke
in the arcade of sorrow
and loose change,
always loose change in her head...
and I cried out,
"Where are you, Miss Heartbreak?"
but she didn't hear, she just disappeared
she didn't answer
now she'll never know.
And I woke up and I cried
in the shadow of her lost hope
"I'd rather sleep than be heartbroke."
And that was all she wrote.
And I panicked!
I called a hundred times too alte
and I cried out
"Where are you, Miss Heartbreak?"
but she didn't hear, she just disappeared.
And I cried out
"Where are you, Miss Heartbreak?"
But she didn't hear, she just disappeared
and I'm left wishing
left wishing she was here...

DAMN KITCHEN
I’ve got the oven fries cooking, but the can opener hardly functions, and I wonder why everything in this fucking place is only half working. And I wonder what we have to talk about… and the T.V. stops for nothing anymore. And you know how the Spanish heat is? How so very different to the British? And how you dream of it every time you clean the toilet? Well you can pin your hopes on any country… you can pin your hopes on any country. And I wonder what you’d have to talk about if you didn’t have the National Lottery?

SHE KEEPS SECRETS
She keeps secrets
From me
And she hides my history
She asks me now
What surname do I use?
She smothers my origins
In sofas and things
I only remember in
Déjà vu
She says
“There might be trouble for you.”
I wonder what she means?
I have a sordid past
that I always thought was clean.
She smothers my origins
In sofas and things
I only remember in
Déjà vu
She keeps secrets
From me
And she hides my history
She asks me now
“What surname do you use?”

Look now, behold the broken arm!
Bring on Santa Claus!
Bring on Santa Claus… no cause for alarm.
You are as soft as the forehead of a cat;
Yes, you are as sentimental as that.
Let the cosmos of your quilt
Sweep you away,
And I will meet you there
With a Milky Way.
The outsider is a hero for us all,
A hero for us all!
He might lead the way,
He might be a fool.
Let the dinner come
And add a light dessert.
Let your reward…
Let your reward be all that you are worth.
Let the stuffing of these notes
Help you asleep,
And I will meet you there
On Pillow Street.
On Pillow St.
